In March 2015, a developer was checking his construction site in North Ridgeville, Ohio when he finds the body of a young woman behind a mound of snow. She was beaten, bound and naked from the waist down. There was no purse, no ID, no phone and no missing persons report. Nothing. After two days and zero leads, police do something they almost never do: they show a black-and-white photo of her face on the evening news... post-mortem.

Across town, a 45-year-old mother is sitting on her couch when she looks up and sees her own daughter's dead face on the television. What unravels from there is shocking and infuriating...

It was 1981 in Naperville, IL. A woman, who lived alone, woke up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. In her groggy state, she walked out of her bedroom and saw a man she didn't know stabbed to death on her living room floor. It was 18-year-old Charles Huber and he had been stabbed 28 times... and right on top of him was her boyfriend, Bruce Lindahl, who had also been stabbed.  Naperville was not a place that had double homicides so the police were stumped. It would take investigators over 40 years before they fully understood what they saw that night; and it was much bigger than anyone realized
