Hook Riff & Banger

At first The Old Bar seems like any other venue: bar, bandroom, beer garden, stickered toilets. However regulars will know that there's something hard to describe that sets the Old Bar apart. In this episode we caught up with band booker Joel to chat about everything he loves about The Old Bar as our attempt to figure out the secret recipe for making such a beloved live music venue and watering hole.Make sure you check their website for their upcoming gig guidetheoldbar.com.auAnd you can connect with them on social media too:instagram.com/theoldbarfacebook.com/theoldbarfitzroy

We sat down for a chat with the one and only Lochlan Watt for a great chat about all sorts of things from what gets him excited to what makes him tick!
If you live in another country or under a rock, he's had a long and storied history in Australian heavy music. Lochlan's part of various bands both in a permanent and guest capacity, as well as hosting JJJ's The Racket for 12 years, and now working as a promoter with Destroy All Lines.
Bitten by the music media bug, Lochlan also runs his own podcast Music is My Life on his channel youtube.com/@lochlan_watt

Sol and Tim from MUNT joined us on the couch with the aim to chat about their debut album The World is not Yours, but things naturally turned into a huge yap fest ranging from bunnings carpark gigs to the strong undercurrent of heavy Brisbane bands to broken sound desks in the studio.
