Welcome back to Schitt with Money! This week, Peita and Emma are diving into Season 1, Episode 8: Allez Vous - where the Rose family gets their first real taste of earning money in Schitt’s Creek. Or, at least, trying to.In This Episode:🚗💼 Johnny hits the unemployment office – After a very Roland-style road trip and a hilariously awkward encounter with Marnie, Johnny tries to get government support… and a little dignity back.🧴🥂 Moira and David get MLM’d – David gets sucked in by shiny serums and champagne-coloured dreams. Moira sees the scam a mile away—but even she ends up giving the sales pitch of the century.🎭📦 Desperate Housewives and struggling actors, unite – Allez Vous takes over Schitt’s Creek. But it turns out... everyone’s an agent.💍🤔 Alexis starts to question Ted – Is this relationship really what she wants? Or is Mr Perfect maybe too perfect?Schitt We Learned:💸 Not all “opportunities” are actually opportunities. MLMs sell dreams, not products. The real money’s in getting you to join.🎭 Main character energy can come from the most surprising places. Roland struts into the unemployment office like he’s James Bond, and somehow wins.🧠 Retirement and identity crises go hand in hand. Johnny's struggle to adjust without a CEO title mirrors real-life clients trying to rediscover who they are beyond their career.💬 Shiny branding doesn’t equal value. Whether it’s beauty products or crypto, if it promises quick wins and exclusivity, it’s probably dodgy.Want to Schitt-Chatt With Us?🎤 Leave us a voice message at SpeakPipe.com/SchittWithMoney – tell us what we missed or drop your favourite quote from the episode!📲 Follow the podcast at @schittwithmoney for updates, behind-the-scenes fun, and money wisdom (with a side of Schitt’s Creek obsession).Want more?Emma: @theaccountingdivisionPeita: @iampeitadNext Up:Carl’s Funeral – Who is Carl? Why is Johnny suddenly in charge? Let’s just say… the town’s definition of "funeral" is flexible at best.Until next time…Remember: not every money-making idea is a business. Sometimes it’s just a cult in pastel packaging. 💁♀️

Schitt with Money S1E7: Turkey Shoot
Peita and Emma are back, and things are getting muddy, messy, and mildly traumatic in Episode 7 of Schitt’s Creek. From David in camo to Moira’s salon transformation, this episode had everything—wigs, weapons, and… smoothies of questionable origin. In This Episode:🍓 Meet Cute at the Meadow Harvest – Alexis meets Ted (and a highly questionable smoothie) at the café. Spoiler alert: he’s lovely, she’s intrigued, and her stomach is in danger.🦃 David Goes Full Bush – Against all logic and personal hygiene standards, David joins a turkey shoot and ends up traumatised, smelly, and slightly changed.💇♀️ Moira Gets Jocelyn’d – A free salon trip turns Moira into Jocelyn’s twin, and it’s as tragic as it sounds.🏘️ Small Town Power Moves – We see Alexis seeking real connection, David pushed to impress Stevie, and Moira confronting her own identity in a world where the Blouse Barn exists.💸 Schitt We Learned:🚪 Comfort Zones Are Costly – Each character steps way out of theirs this week. David faces mud and firearms, Alexis faces genuine affection, and Moira faces… her reflection. Growth is messy, but necessary.💁♀️ People-Pleasing Can Get Expensive – From turkey shoots to questionable hairstyles, sometimes going along with things costs more than just pride. That “just go with it” mindset? It can lead to financial decisions you regret, and hair you don’t recognise.💔 A Man Is Not a Financial Plan – Alexis sees Ted as a possible escape route, and it’s a reminder that financial independence matters. Relying on someone else to “fix” things can leave you stuck, or worse, unable to leave when you need to.🎧 Want to Schitt-Chatt With Us?Leave us a voice message at SpeakPipe.com/SchittWithMoney – Tell us what we missed, or share your fave quote from the episode!📲 Follow the podcast at @schittwithmoney for episode updates, behind-the-scenes fun, and money wisdom (with a side of Schitt’s Creek obsession). You can also find us here:Emma: @theaccountingdivisionPeita: @iampeitadNext Up: Episode 8 – “Allez-Vous”. MLM madness, Johnny’s job hunt, and a pyramid scheme we can’t look away from. It’s peak cringe—and financial insight gold.🎉 Until then, remember: If someone offers to pay for your makeover… ask if it includes your dignity.

Schitt with Money S1E6: Wine & Roses
Welcome back to Schitt with Money! Peita and Emma are popping open Season 1, Episode 6: Wine and Roses, where Moira gets her big shot at a comeback - or at least a mildly offensive fruit wine ad. Meanwhile, David has a health crisis, Alexis drops Naomi Campbell-level references during community service, and Johnny… well, Johnny’s doing his best not to direct everyone within a 10-metre radius. In This Episode:🍷 Moira’s comeback (kind of) – She lands a local endorsement gig for Herb Ertlinger’s fruit wine… and cannot, for the life of her, say his name. But despite nerves, bugs in her wine, and Johnny’s stage mum energy, she pulls it off in full Moira theatrical fashion.😰 David’s panic spiral – Sleep deprived and WebMD-obsessed, David is convinced he’s dying. Turns out, it’s a panic attack. But in classic Rose sibling style, he weaponises it into a guilt trip for Alexis. Naturally.🧘 Jocelyn saves the day (and David’s back) – Forced into yoga, David finds unexpected peace, comfort… and a nap on Jocelyn. A hilarious moment, with an oddly tender undertone.🛠️ Johnny’s misplaced ambition – With no job and no control, Johnny throws himself into Moira’s commercial shoot… and slowly drives everyone mad.🧼 Alexis vs. laundry rocks – While benchmarking her community service outfits on Naomi Campbell (of course), she’s also lowkey starting to figure herself out, while dating the blandest eco-warrior ever.Schitt We Learned:💳 Start small, start somewhere – Moira may not be starring in a blockbuster, but she’s contributing, getting paid, and rediscovering her confidence. Sometimes, the ‘little gig’ is the one that gets us going again.🧘♀️ Support can come from unexpected places – Jocelyn offering warmth (literally) is a reminder that kindness (even accidental) can make a big difference.📞 Family dynamics are weird (and hilarious) – From phone chaos to awkward love languages, the Roses are fumbling their way through growth… kind of.Want to Schitt-Chatt With Us?🎤 Leave us a voice message at SpeakPipe.com/SchittWithMoney – tell us what we missed or drop your favourite quote from the episode!📱 Follow the podcast at @schittwithmoney for updates, behind-the-scenes fun, and money wisdom (with a side of Schitt’s Creek obsession).Want more? Schitt with Money S1E5: The Cabin
Welcome back to Schitt with Money! Peita and Emma are diving headfirst into one of the cringiest (and most hilarious) episodes of Schitt’s Creek yet — The Cabin. From surprise sexcapades to game night meltdowns, this episode delivers big on awkward family moments, chaotic romantic getaways, and a few unexpected life lessons too.In This Episode:💋 The ultimate horror story – David walks in on Johnny and Moira. Trauma ensues. But in true Johnny Rose fashion, he insists they talk about it. No thank you, sir.🪵 Wrong cabin, wrong time – Johnny’s desperate for a romantic escape. But Roland’s directions are… less than helpful. Cue cabin mix-up, suit-ripping, and uninvited commentary from Bob and Gwen (who are apparently just sitting there?!).🔐 Johnny’s on a mission (for locks) – Determined to avoid future trauma, Johnny seeks out door locks. But Alexis proves no lock is Rose-proof.🎲 Game night gets real – David wants rules. Stevie wants vibes. Everyone’s drunk. It’s chaos, and we love it.📱 Where are their phones?! – We’re just saying, Google Maps could’ve prevented all of this.Schitt We Learned:🙅♀️ Sometimes it’s okay to accept help. Even if it’s from Roland. Maybe.🧠 Self-awareness is sexy. Alexis might need constant attention, but at least she knows it.🎮 Game night reveals everything. Are you a chill, “it’s just for fun” type? Or a “draw four and perish” energy? Either way… we see you.Want to Schitt-Chatt With Us?🎙️ Leave us a voice message at SpeakPipe.com/SchittWithMoney – tell us what we missed or drop your favourite quote from the episode!📲 Follow the podcast on Instagram at @schittwithmoney for behind-the-scenes fun, episode updates, and money wisdom (with a side of Schitt’s Creek obsession).🙋♀️ Find us individually too:Emma – @theaccountingdivisionPeita – @iampeitadNext up: We’re heading into Episode 6 – Wine and Roses. Schitt with Money S1E4: Bad Parents
Welcome back to Schitt with Money! Peita and Emma are diving into Bad Parents, an episode packed with questionable parenting, personal crises, and—of course—David Rose’s tragic realisation that his wardrobe is not as valuable to the world as it is to him.In This Episode:👗 David’s Closet Meltdown – Who knew folding a sweater could cause an existential crisis? David struggles with the idea of treating his designer wardrobe like anything less than an art exhibit.💰 Parenting by Proxy – Johnny and Moira reflect on whether hiring the best nannies and sending the kids to elite schools actually made them good parents (spoiler: the answer is… unclear).👠 Alexis’ Community Service Chic – Picking up trash in heels? Iconic. Ronnie puts Alexis in her place with one of the best burns of the episode: "This isn’t Say Yes to the Dress, princess."🛻 Mysterious Farm Equipment – Peita and Emma go full detective mode trying to identify the strange vehicle rolling through Schitt’s Creek. (If you know what it is, DM us!)Schitt We Learned:💸 Your wardrobe is not an investment – David learns the hard way that luxury doesn’t always hold resale value. (That consignment store was not impressed.)🏡 Downsizing is a reality check – From a mansion to a motel, the Roses (and our hosts) discuss what it’s like to live in a much smaller space than you’re used to.👨👩👧👦 Time > Money in Parenting – Johnny and Moira thought they did everything “right” by giving their kids the best of everything. But did they actually spend time with them?Want to Schitt-Chatt With Us?💬 Leave us a voice message at SpeakPipe.com/SchittWithMoney – tell us what we missed or drop your favorite quote from the episode!📲 Follow @SchittWithMoney for episode updates, behind-the-scenes fun, and money wisdom (with a side of Schitt’s Creek obsession).Want more?
