This week Heff is joined by Jake from Hat Chat to review Round 17 of the 2026 AFL Fantasy season from a draft and keeper league perspective.
Zeke Uwland was the headline act of the round, exploding for a massive 146 points for Gold Coast. With 32 disposals, 16 marks and a half-back role that looks to suit him perfectly, owners are finally being rewarded. We dig into whether this role is here to stay, what the Rioli injury means, and whether the Gulden comparisons are starting to make sense.
Karl Worner was another huge story after putting up 108 points for Fremantle. With 29 disposals, 10 marks and a role across half-back that continues to deliver, he has officially hit 2G4P territory. We discuss whether he has become a genuine fieldable defender and what his strong recent form means for keeper league coaches.
Beau Addinsall was another exciting name from the Suns, scoring 86 from just 67% time on ground. He ran through the midfield, looked comfortable at the level, and appears to be making the most of his opportunity. We look at where he sits compared to the other young Gold Coast options and whether coaches should be getting on board.
There’s also plenty more to get through, including Oliver Francou, Noah Mraz, Jacob van Rooyen, Cooper Harvey, Jagga Smith, Edward Allan, Mattaes Phillipou, Darcy Byrne-Jones, Patrick Dangerfield, Ned Moyle and more.
As always, it’s about working out what’s real, what’s role-driven, and what’s just a one-week spike.
If you're playing draft and keeper leagues, this episode is packed with the insights you need to stay ahead of the curve.
