In the Season 1 finale, Paul is faced with a terrible choice from which there is no turning back in a last-ditch bid to save a friend; new and horrifying discoveries are made in the aftermath of John Bellringer's departure from Chancellor.  

In the aftermath of the accident, Paul learns more about the cursed little town of Bethel and its connection to the missing children; a visitor to the Rudder Mill House provides some cryptic insights into the events surrounding Tanner, Miles, and Chancellor's fate.
