#69 - Farming From the Inside Out | Blair Beattie [Farmers Footprint AU]

    07/05/2026 | 58 mins.
In this episode I sit down with Blair Beattie from Farmer’s Footprint Australia for a really grounded conversation around regeneration, farming, glyphosate, mindset, and the deeper human side of land stewardship.

We touch on the movement behind Farmer’s Footprint and the role it plays in telling a more honest and hopeful story around Australian agriculture — not just focusing on farming practices, but the people behind them, their stories, their challenges, and the potential for real change.

We also speak about the podcast, *The Invisible Ingredient*, and the conversations he’s been having around glyphosate — where it sits in our food system, our landscapes, our health, and the bigger questions we probably need to be asking as a society.

One of the parts I really enjoyed was getting into the retreats Blair has been helping run for farmers. Not just from a “here’s how to farm better” angle, but more so looking at who we are as people, what we’re carrying, how we relate to ourselves, and how that then reflects out into the land, the farm, the family, the business, and the wider community.

Because so much of regeneration can get spoken about through the lens of soil, plants, carbon, water and biodiversity (which is all important) but there’s also this deeper layer around the human being making the decisions. The mindset shift. The connection. The willingness to slow down, reflect, and actually look at what’s driving the way we manage land.

This was a really thoughtful conversation and one that weaves between farming, food systems, glyphosate, personal growth, community, and the deeper essence of what it means to live and work in relationship with the land.

#68 - What Horticulture Has Taught Me | Attila Horgosi

    30/04/2026 | 49 mins.
Attila the Horticulturalist has built a reputation as one of Australia’s most passionate and grounded voices in gardening — blending deep plant knowledge with a real, lived connection to the land.

Known for his hands-on approach and no-nonsense style, Attila brings gardening back to what it’s meant to be: practical, intuitive, and rooted in observation.

His work spans everything from edible growing and soil health through to larger landscape thinking, always with a focus on working with nature rather than trying to control it.

#67 - The Garden Design Shift | Michael McCoy [The Gardenists]

    23/04/2026 | 1h
Today I’m joined by Michael McCoy, one of Australia’s most respected garden designers, writers, and thinkers. We talk about the deeper side of garden design — not just what to plant, but how a space feels, how it moves you, and why that matters.

Michael shares how he thinks about designing through space and experience, along with some really interesting reflections on why people garden and what gardens can give back to us. A thoughtful conversation for anyone who sees gardening as more than just plants.

#66 - Thriving Edible Food Gardens | Craig Castree

    16/04/2026 | 1h 8 mins.
In this episode, I sit down with Craig Castree - an award-winning horticulturist, author, educator and longtime voice in the world of edible gardening, with more than four decades of experience helping people grow food in a more practical, regenerative and connected way. Craig’s work centres around organic food growing, soil health, edible gardens, and teaching people how to create productive spaces at home that actually work in real life.

This was a really enjoyable conversation, because Craig brings that mix of deep experience and simple, no-nonsense wisdom that only comes from a lifetime of doing the work. We spoke about growing food in a way that’s healthier, more resilient and more in tune with how nature already operates, and why good gardening so often comes back to understanding the soil, slowing down, and getting the fundamentals right. His broader approach blends horticulture with regenerative ideas and backyard food growing in a very accessible way.

If you’re someone who wants to grow better food, build a healthier garden, and learn from someone who’s spent decades living and teaching this stuff, I think you’ll really enjoy this one.

#65 - Improving Farms, Farmers & The Earth | Conan Moynihan [Groundshift]

    09/04/2026 | 55 mins.
In this episode I sat down with Conan Moynihan from Groundshift, an agribusiness coach who’s doing a lot of work helping farmers build stronger, more resilient systems by working with nature instead of constantly fighting against it.

We spoke about soil, biology, farm performance, mindset, profitability, and the bigger shift that needs to happen in agriculture if we want to create systems that are actually sustainable in the true sense of the word. Conan brings both lived experience and a really thoughtful perspective to the conversation, so his message is meaningful.

A really solid episode for anyone interested in soil health, regenerative agriculture, and the deeper thinking behind where farming and food systems could be heading.
