Australian motorsport veteran David Russell joins us for this week’s edition of the V8 Sleuth Podcast powered by Castrol. Over two parts, the racer known as both ‘Coighty’ and ‘D-Russ’ takes us back through his diverse career behind the wheel, culminating in his reputation as one of Supercars’ top co-drivers. Russell touches on his near-miss on a deal that would’ve landed him on the grid full-time in 2012, plus his infamous collision with a kangaroo in the early laps of the 2013 Bathurst 1000, and shares the story of a famously disastrous pre-Bathurst kayaking trip undertaken by the Kelly Racing enduro drivers!
