We're Struggling To Keep The Lid On

    25/04/2026 | 53 mins.
What started as genuine concern — suspensions, five changes, and a seriously STACKED Gold Coast outfit — ended in a 49-point statement win that put Hawthorn forward as genuine contenders. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

TWTW Pod: The Port Reality Check

Banking the (ugly) wins and looking forward to our next match against the Suns at UTAS. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

    Port Recap Pod

    21/04/2026 | 22 mins.
Darren Levin and Nat Martin caught up pre-game at Marvel Stadium to discuss their thoughts, concerns and tips for the clash against Port, in which the Hawks were clear favourites. Confidence was high — a big brown and gold crowd, a favourable matchup, and predictions of a comfortable win. But it didn't really pan out that way. Hosted on Acast. We take a break from regular post game pod tradition to bring you a new format. The walk-and-talk pod is back … but this time with a twist.
“There’s no way we lose today.” - Ashley Browne at 3.36pm.
Let’s just say … things didn’t quite unfold the way they expected. A couple of hours later, that confidence had well and truly been tested. The Hawks escaped with a three-point win in what could only be described as a “get out of jail” performance.
From pre-game confidence to post-game survival, this pod captures the full emotional journey of Saturday’s unexpected thriller. It was recorded as 37,000 fans (mostly of Hawthorn persuasion) made their way into the ground, and then as the same huge crowd headed towards Southern Cross Station for their homebound train.
So yes, apologies for the audio quality.
But this one is — as they say in the classics — vibes based.

TWTW Pod: How do you fix a Chol-shaped hole?

    15/04/2026 | 1h 4 mins.
Subscribe to Hawks Insiders for the most in-depth and wide ranging Hawthorn cover there is. From exclusive interviews to analysis, match recaps to podcasts, the Insiders have you covered.
How quickly does a round five win turn into something more?
The Hawks Insiders team of Ash, Daz, Mick, Nat and Jason Johnson Brad (live from the car) take a deeper like at a side that’s not just building — it’s growing up in real time.
Fresh off backing up the Easter Monday high with a commanding Gather Round win over the Dogs, the conversation has shifted. This isn’t about promise anymore. It’s about expectation.
    🎧 Listen as we discuss…
    * The Dogs win: Why this one was all about composure, maturity and finishing the job when it mattered.
    * Backing it up: Two wins in five days and what that says about this group’s mindset.
    * The youth surge: Why our 23-and-under core is driving wins now — and still being underrated externally.
    * The one we can’t lose: Who is the most irreplaceable player in the side right now?
    * Selection squeeze: How do you plug a Mabior-sized forward line hole?
    * Will Day watch: How he returns, why there’s no rush, what it means for the midfield mix, and his ummmm … vinyl collection?
    * Port Adelaide preview: How we take control at Marvel, the Butters matchup, and why this is a game we should win.
    * Fan energy: The new wave of Hawks supporters, the noise, and why the vibe shift is real (and probably driven by TikTok).
    * Hall of Fame: Celebrating Roughie, Moncrieff, Schwab and Haby, and what they represent for the club.
Thanks as always to our HI members for all your support. The ride’s getting more fun by the week — and we’re just getting started. Keep your questions and feedback coming 👂
