Leave it to Representative Jasmine Crockett to be so obsessed with race-baiting that she accidentally spent an afternoon carrying water for the Spanish Empire. In her rush to lecture the world about racism, Crockett somehow landed on the side of the country that spent centuries colonizing much of Latin America. During a House hearing on oversight of the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History, the Texas Democrat tried to turn World Cup fandom into a debate about racism.

Also New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani acknowledged Tuesday that he can't have Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrested despite promising to do so during his mayoral campaign / Buffalo World Naked Bike Ride canceled due to violent threats / the DSA infiltrates their own party / Journey star Jonathan Cain demands Bruce Springsteen 'shut up,' act like he was born in the USA / and black Democrats do not like socialism.

In part two of Red Eye Radio with Gary McNamara and Eric Harley, the challenge of staying cool and safe during this summer's historic heat wave has been especially burdensome as cooling costs are expected to hit a record high. Many will rely on air conditioning even more than usual during this record heat, but the financial strain of paying more than ever for the electricity to power these appliances has left many Americans sweating it out.

Also the latest on the war with Iran. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Wednesday that the United States remains willing to negotiate with Iran but warned there "will be consequences" if Tehran continues to violate its commitments. Speaking at the ASEAN Summit in the Philippines, hours after U.S. forces completed their 11th consecutive night of strikes against Iranian military targets, Rubio said Washington remains open to diplomacy but questioned whether Iran is negotiating in good faith.

He went on to say 'they do not deserve double-digit returns', much to the bewilderment of MacCallum.
