Saints Church Podcast

The grace of God was never meant to stop with us. In Luke 14, Jesus confronts a table full of insiders and turns their attention to those still outside. From Abraham to Israel, the prophets and ultimately Jesus, we see a consistent pattern: God welcomes, blesses and gathers a people so they can become a blessing to others. In this message, Ps Jimmy explores how the grace we have received from God should overflow into grace extended for those who cannot repay us.

In Mark 10, a rich young ruler comes running to Jesus with a question we all wrestle with: what must I do to inherit eternal life? But what begins as a question about what he must do becomes an invitation to surrender. Stephen unpacks the tension between self-sufficiency and dependence on God, asking not simply what we possess, but what possesses us. Through this encounter, we’re reminded that we cannot save ourselves, and we cannot follow Jesus without surrender, because discipleship is the daily reorientation of our lives from fear to faith, and from self-sufficiency to trust in Jesus.

In Luke 5, Jesus steps into Peter’s ordinary world and calls him into something greater. What begins with access to a boat ends with the surrender of an entire life. Ps Jimmy explores the progression of discipleship from access and obedience to trust, calling and surrender - and the invitation of Jesus that still confronts us today; "leave your past behind and Follow Me.”

What if God's silence isn't absence, His delay isn't rejection, and the season you don't understand isn't evidence that He's stopped working? Through the story of the Emmaus Road, Ps Jimmy explores the mystery of God and how Jesus meets us in disappointment, corrects our perception, awakens hunger and leads us back into faith and mission.
