In this episode, I speak with Robert from Cleburne County, whose encounters began in the late 1990s deep in the rugged foothills near the Little Red River, an area known for its isolation, dense timber, and long history of unexplained activity. At just 15 years old, Robert had his first encounter, one that would stay with him for life. Late one fall night, he awoke with the overwhelming feeling that something was watching him. When he looked toward his bedroom window, he locked eyes with two glowing green eyes staring directly in at him. Standing outside was a massive figure, towering well above the window, its broad shoulders and enormous frame barely visible in the darkness.
The creature’s presence was silent… but unmistakable. The next morning, Robert found tracks in the grass, physical evidence that something very real had been there. But that was only the beginning. Years later, while hunting in a remote area, Robert and his friend stumbled upon something far more disturbing. Deep in the woods, they came across a mutilated cow, violently torn apart, with signs of immense strength behind the attack. As they moved deeper into the hollow, the forest grew unnaturally quiet… and that’s when they saw it.
Sitting behind a large rock, only 15–20 yards away, was a massive creature watching them. This wasn’t just a glimpse in the dark—this was broad daylight. The creature had blood covering its mouth and teeth. Its eyes were blacker than coal, lifeless and predatory, like a shark’s. Its arms were long and powerful, its body large but not overly bulky. Its face was unlike anything Robert had seen before… with a short snout and a disturbing, almost human-like structure twisted into something else entirely. When it shifted its gaze between the two men, the fear became overwhelming. His friend dropped his firearm. They ran. When they returned the next day, the cow was gone—completely removed from the area. No tracks. No sign of struggle. Just blood left behind as proof that something had been there. After that encounter, Robert never looked at the woods the same way again.
From glowing eyes outside a bedroom window… to a face-to-face encounter with a blood-covered creature in the daylight—this is a chilling account of something intelligent, powerful, and operating just beyond our understanding. And sometimes… the forest goes completely silent for a reason.
