According to Pastor A.B. Schirmer, both of his wives had died in tragic accidents. His first wife fell down the stairs and his second wife was in a car accident. Joe and his family believe that Joanna’s husband, Mark Lewis, killed her and staged it to look like a suicide. But the Solano County Sheriff’s office says Joanna was not murdered.
