Valencia-based duo Pajaro Dune, formed by Jaime Romero (aka Estrato Aurora) and composer/pianist David Ortolà (aka d_o_ppelgaenger), join us with a live session recorded at Digit Festival in rural Spain.

Working entirely through improvisation, the duo weave deep, layered atmospheres with fractured rhythms, evolving textures and hypnotic, organic movement.

Black Merlin occupies a distinctive space within contemporary techno, combining hypnotic rhythm with organic percussion, field recordings and dense, atmospheric textures. His productions often blur the boundaries between the industrial and the ritualistic, creating music that feels deeply immersive and tactile.

For Monument Podcast, he takes us on a patient journey through stripped-back rhythms, shadowy atmospheres and subtle layers of texture. A hypnotic and absorbing session that gradually reveals itself with every movement.

It’s Saturday and we’re crossing over from day to night. The set from 8pm—11pm is special because the sun goes to sleep behind the hills during this set, and we need a skilful navigator to help us with this transition.

Behind the decks in Varden we find Andy Martin, Mexican-Jamaican electronic music producer and DJ. He is known for mixing sci-fi techno and dub elements with Latin Caribbean rhythms and native-inspired futuristic themes. Sounds like a fun way to start Saturday night.

“I really loved my set time because it allowed me to transition from a more joyful daytime vibe into a deeper and more introspective mood as night arrived. The night brings a more subtle and intuitive experience. As darkness starts to fall, you can only perceive moving silhouettes on the dance floor, and everything becomes less visual and more about intuition, sound, and feeling.

I was there for the whole festival, and I think it’s really worth staying for the entire experience. It allows you to understand how meaningful the festival is through the delicate curation of every single detail, the dedication of all the volunteers, and the amazing atmosphere created by everyone attending. It really feels like something special.”

The Berlin-based Naomi joins the Monument Podcast following her appearance at the Haven stage at this year’s Monument Festival.

For her contribution to the series, she delivers a vinyl-only mix moving at a steady 125 BPM, exploring the deeper and dubbier corners of her collection.

Mind you, this isn’t the recording from the festival. For that one, you’ll have to wait a little longer.
