Life of Brian | #3 The voice of world cycling Matt Keenan, Boomers, Matildas and ‘the Darls’ birthday
Today Harrison grills BT about why he’s afraid to take Mrs T to Europe for her birthday, they touch on their big night out watching the Boomers, discuss how we can capitalize on the momentum of women’s sport in Australia and what role government funding plays within that, they pondered why AFL clubs are so secretive about minor injuries, before chatting with the voice of world cycling, Matt Keenan.
Born and raised in the northern suburbs of Melbourne, Matt fell in love with cycling as a young lad, he dreamed of going to the Tour de France, and after many years of hard work, methodical dedication to his craft and passion for his sport, he eventually got to the Tour, just not as a cyclist as the dreams suggested. Instead, he’s now the main man on SBSs coverage of the Tour (and many other of the world’s biggest cycling events). Separate from his work as a broadcaster, Matt is humble, charismatic, an incredible storyteller and much like the rest of Australia, he has a great love of sport.
