Gavin Crosisca is a former Collingwood Premiership Player & the founder of Sober Living Rehab. Gavin spent over 28 years addicted to drugs, alcohol, all while playing and coaching at the highest level. WARNING: This episode is very heavy and may be triggering to some listeners, please listen with caution. Gavin is about to share with you his incredible story where his AFL career hit the ultimate highs but personally was battling the lowest of lows. He shares his battle with alcohol, gambling and drug addiction and the absolute peak of the problem. From traveling through airports with drugs to taking them on game day and the lengths he went to hide it...your eyes will be opened to the issue of addiction. Plus, how dangerously close he got to taking meth. He shares the shame he felt and incredibly how no one (apart from his dealer) knew what was going on. Then the day came when he was sent to rehab by his wife...and everything changed. From the silent car ride to the wide range of emotions he felt you'll hear the amazing story. Gavin shares the cold hard facts about addiction in our society and how it spreads through the AFL system. Plus, what really happens when you touch some of these easy to obtain drugs.
