Sarah Baldwin joins us this week for one of the most powerful conversations we’ve had on the podcast. A somatic practitioner and educator, Sarah reminds us that tending to our own nervous systems is one of the most generous things we can do for our children. Our kids look to us to learn what safety and regulation feel like.

We talk parts work, inner child healing, and how our nervous systems can “time travel,” reacting to the present through past experiences. Sarah breaks down how we’re constantly asking: is this safe, dangerous, or life-threatening? And how those answers are shaped by what we’ve lived through.

We explore meeting our scared parts with compassion, not fear, and the healing that happens when we become the witness we may have never had. Plus, staying rooted in self even when we’re triggered, with the sequoia tree as a beautiful metaphor for that grounded, steady place we can return to.
