Duncan: Wait, what just happened? The sign says a 2-hour wait, but she just gave us a table immediately! Did you bribe her?
等等，發生什麼事了？上面寫要等兩小時，結果她居然馬上給我們位子！你塞錢給他了嗎？

Eleanor: No, I just noticed her name tag and complimented her earrings.
沒啦，我只是注意到她的名牌並讚美了她的耳環。

Duncan: Really? Is that all?
真的嗎？只有這樣？

Eleanor: Ｉalso mentioned we’re celebrating the first day at your new job. I treated her like a friend, not just a worker.
然後我提到我們是來慶祝你第一天上班。我把她當成一個朋友在聊天，而不僅僅是個員工。

Duncan: I can't believe that actually worked. You’re incredible.
不敢相信這招居然有用。你太扯了。

Eleanor: That’s called a hustle, my friend.
這就叫做說話的藝術，我的朋友。

➋ Seize the day ：把握當下。seize是指抓住的意思。
➌ Pluck up the courage：鼓起勇氣。pluck有拔起的意思。
➍ Toxic work environment：有毒的職場環境。
➎ Gender bias / Gender inequality：性別偏見／性別不平等
➏ Microaggression：微歧視。aggression指的是侵略、攻擊性、敵意的行為或態度。

D:You should really get away from that toxic work environment. Working overtime every day isn’t healthy.
你應該避免有毒的職場環境，天天加班太累了～
A: Maybe I should pluck up the courage...
或許我應該鼓起勇氣…..
D: Exactly! Quit your job—fortune favors the bold!

A:Oh—I meant I should pluck up the courage to turn down some requests. 喔！我的意思是我應該鼓起勇氣去拒絕這些要求！
