EV Church Sermons

Life doesn't always turn out as you thought it would. Amidst the big picture of what God is doing in the world in the time of Jeremiah, God gives a direct message to Baruch in his personal grief. Andrew Heard preaches on living a life that pleases God, and trusts him, no matter your context.

Our whole faith rests on a message - a word we've received about a Lord we've never seen. There can be moments when even a lifelong Christian stops and wonders whether it's all real. Jez Reynolds preaches on Jeremiah 36, where a king cuts up God's word and burns it piece by piece, only to have it come back longer than before. This word that could not be destroyed is the word you can build a life on.

There is something wrong with our hearts... our community bends us towards selfishness, pride, and depravity. Andrew Heard speaks on the big picture of the Bible, and God's promises to us of a new covenant that rest on his forgiveness not our performance.

God's plans for us extend beyond the here and now. Andrew Heard encourages us, especially men and fathers, to take responsibility for leading our families in trusting in God, and to look forward to the promises he has fulfilled in Jesus.
