Ash Williams has a simple mantra: Say yes to everything. And thankfully, that extented to our invitation to be a guest on Food Bytes.
What a guest he turned out to be. Ash came armed with stories from his debut book (Almost) Killing it in Hollywood (Echo Publishing), a chronicle of his crazy adventures seeking international stardom. Trying his hand at everything from sitcom acting to online tickling videos, stand-up comedy and topless bartending, Ash paid the rent and his dues at the same time.
We also discover a more domestic Ash exists, as he shares his poached egg secret, a new recipe for a Mexican-style healthy treat and his special Ash Bulletproof Coffee.

Christie Hayes is our joyous and vivacious guest this week. You might remember her for her years as Kirsty Sutherland in Home and Away, a character at the centre of some incredibly controversial storylines. Christie remembers those Summer Bay days fondly and more recently in her broadcasting career, there's been some real life controversy.
Christie made national headlines when she confronted Prime Minister Anthony Albanese on Hobart breakfast radio with some hard questions about his government's record dealing with domestic violence. Hardly the normal FM breakfast show banter, but a testament to the real, authentic person Christie is, on and off the air.
Christie now hosts her own podcast called Christie Hayes Daily and has combined that with being a domestic goddess, wife to husband Justin, mum to three children and (spoiler alert) owner of a new oven. You will have to listen to the end to understand.

As 'Rita the Beater' in the final years of the iconic Australian television drama Prisoner, Glenda Linscott scared the living suitcase out of a generation of viewers.
Glenda joins us to share her amazing story, which has taken her from from Zimbabwe to Wentworth to today living in regional South Australia. The acting bug bit at an early age and a life on the stage and screen was always the goal. 40 years on, the fascination surrounding Rita has grown and hardly a day goes by when Glenda doesn't have a 'Rita' moment.
Glenda has had an equally interesting culinary journey and here she explains how her relationship with the kitchen has evolved over the years.

Former child guitar prodigy, recording star and slightly nervous Food Bytes guest: that sums up the 2026 version of Nathan Cavaleri, who joins us this week to talk about his amazing 44 years on this planet.
Nathan talks about his latest show - the Growing Pains Tour. It's a musical story in which he shares life's highs and lows, including being diagnosed with leukaemia, being a child star, being bullied at school, sharing the stage with some of the world's biggest stars and his anxiety attacks - and how he's come out the other side.
We find out about his relationship with coffee and his signature dish, and he also shares some fond memories of his days working as a labourer for his bricklaying dad.
