On the night of March 12, 2011, in the quiet San Diego suburb of Mira Mesa, paramedics were dispatched to the home of Karina and David Ditto in response to Karina falling down the stairs. When they arrive, paramedics are surprised to find Karina is suffering from cardiac arrest – a strange anomaly for a fall victim. It’s clear this isn’t the scene of some accident but rather a heated domestic dispute.
