- There’s a story whispered in these hollers that speaks of the ones who never got their proper prom — how they wait, patient as roots, for the night the veil goes thin enough to try again. This Halloween, that night comes to Asheville, North Carolina.
On October 31st, Old Gods of Appalachia drags Eulogy down into the dark for a night unlike any other — fog curling low across the floor, candlelight flickering like it’s afraid of something just outside the door. DJ Poltergeist commands the decks, spinning deep cuts that sound like they were pulled straight up out of the mountain itself. Prom Royalty will be chosen and crowned by the hedge witch and yours truly, in a ceremony older and stranger than any homecoming court you ever knew in high school.
Keep your eyes on the crowd... members of the Old Gods of Appalachia cast may creep among the revelers (as schedules permit). Before you leave, the merch table waits, offering the opportunity to carry a little piece of the dark home with you.
The doors don’t open until 7pm, and the night doesn’t truly begin until 8, but for those who want to kick things off early, a pre-show meet & greet begins at 5pm. Extend your evening with early access to the venue, and enjoy the exclusive opportunity to chat with the cast. Meet creators Steve Shell and Cam Collins; the voice of Granny White, Betsy Puckett; the voice of Polly Barrow, Tracey Johnston-Crum; the voice of Granny Underwood, Stephanie Hickling Beckman; the voice of Glory Ann Boggs, Allison Mullins; and the voice of Conrad Barrow, Cecil Baldwin. With special appearance by season six cast member and New York Times bestselling author Don Martin (Verity Vox and the Curse of Foxfire). Tickets are limited and sold as an optional add-on to your general admission ticket.
So dig out the taffeta, the lace, the fishnets, and all your black t-shirts. Dress in your finest and most fiendish. Because down here, the mountain remembers every monster who never got to go to prom — and tonight, they will.

Old Gods of Appalachia is on a short break before the final story arc of season six begins, and will return on July 30th, 2026. But we can’t leave our family hanging for too long, so we have a special treat for y’all — a story from some cousins who spin their tales in the dark of night — a podcast called Spooked. It’s full of spirit and magic, and is hosted by our good friend Glynn Washington. Spooked features true-life supernatural stories, told firsthand by people who can barely believe it happened themselves, and every story has an original score. So come with us, family, and explore a little place called… Dismal Falls.
There are some places, deep in the woods, far away from civilization, that are magical. Chuck is hiking deep in the Appalachian woods when he stumbles upon one of these places: Dismal Falls. But Dismal Falls isn’t all fairies and rainbows. It’s a place of dark magic.
This story comes to us from the Spooked podcast. Spooked features true-life supernatural stories, told firsthand by people who can barely believe it happened themselves. You can listen to Spooked on any podcast platform! Episodes drop weekly. Be afraid.

About Old Gods of Appalachia
In the mountains of central Appalachia, blood runs as deep as these hollers and just as dark. Since before our kind knew these hills, hearts of unknowable hunger and madness have slumbered beneath them. These are the darkest mountains in the world. How dare we think we can break the skin of a god and dig out its heart without bringing forth blood and darkness? Old Gods of Appalachia is a horror-anthology podcast set in the shadows of an Alternate Appalachia, a place where digging too deep into the mines was just the first mistake. To learn more about Old Gods of Appalachia, visit our website at www.oldgodsofappalachia.com, and be sure to complete your social media ritual and follow us on Facebook and Instagram @oldgodsofappalachia, or on Bluesky @oldgodspod.
