The 40k Lorecast

On today’s cast we start our coverage of the Word Bearers. With their original founding as the Imperial Heralds and their role as the Emperor’s enforcers on the imperial truth. From there we jump over to Colchis for some fun Lorgar and Covenant action as Lorgar unites a planet into the belief in the gods. And then of course those two groups meet. We then close out with one of the most consequential characters in all of 40k Erebus.

On today’s cast we take a trip into the Legion of the Damned. A super fun and exciting space marine faction that got their own codex in 6th edition, and then promptly were removed from the game due to being horribly OP. We go over what they are, how they function in the galaxy and what is kind of known about them. We then review the three main theories on their origin with a little bit of us theorizing about what we believe them to be.

On today’s cast we jump into the massive nightmares that are Space Hulks in the 41st Millenia. What they are, where they kind of come from (technically we don’t know). We also talk about how the different parts of the imperium interact with them (from lowly scrappers trying to make a fortune, through 1st company Space Marines). And they we jump into a bit on some of the more famous Space hulks through the lore.

On today’s cast we conclude our coverage of the Raven Guard. Opening up with the events of Isstvan 5 and the almost destruction of the Legion. From there we follow Corax as he goes back to terra to get the original gene seed of his legion (unknowingly brining a bunch of Alpha Legion along). And then the events over the course of the rest of the Horus Heresy. Next we talk about Corax in the warp and the nightmare he has turned into for the traitors. We then close out with the more recent Raven Guard lore of Shrike and Shaan.
