This week we sit down with Sophie de Ronde, Head Brewer of Burnt Mill.Sophies story is an interesting one, after starting working behind a bar, falling in love with cask and then becoming a brewer, she found she had an allergy to Gluten. This meant a revised thinking of her career path, but after meeting Charles, owner & founder of Burnt Mill, she decided to carry on brewing, even if she couldn't enjoy the fruits of her labour. We sat down to interview two incredible Hop Farms that we visited when out in Yakima for Hop Selection, to hear more about the work that goes on in this field.First up we speak to Jr Loza from Loza Farms, about his family's journey from Mexico to owners of Loza Farms. Then we sit down and hear from Jason & Jeff from Perrault Farms, a truly magnificent facility that has been running since the Perrault family arrived in Yakima in 1902.
