Sunday Single: Balming Tiger: Narani Narani (feat. ATARASHII GAKKO!)
09/11/2025 | 6 mins.
A new feature! A Sunday Single is a mini-episode when either Snarky Platypus or Stilgherrian choose a single track — not necessarily released as a single — and highlight its delights. To kick it off, it’s Stilgherrian with a tune from Korean collective Balming Tiger in collaboration with Japan’s ATARASHII GAKKO!, titled 나란히 나란히 Narani Narani. We’re pretty sure that translates into English as “Side by Side”. It was released in June 2025.The press release describes it thus: “Inspired by memories of carefree days on the playground, ‘Narani Narani’ is a psychedelic folk anthem that defies genre and national boundaries.” Enjoy. This episode was recorded on 9 November 2025.
