In 1984, Terrance Arndt was an 18-year-old in Shasta County California. He and his girlfriend are sitting together in his vehicle when out of nowhere, a man with a gun shows up. After the killer leaves, she bravely drives Arndt's car for help and the state highway patrol calls Shasta County Sheriff's department.
