She convinced New York’s elite that she was a fabulously wealthy German heiress, lived the high life and dreamed of creating an exclusive members’ club in Manhattan.

There was just one problem: Anna Delvey wasn’t quite who she claimed to be.

Originally released in February 2022, this week’s Seeing Red: Second Look returns to the remarkable story of Anna Sorokin — better known as Anna Delvey. Mark has recorded a new introduction explaining why, more than four years later, he wanted to revisit the case, as well as bringing Anna’s extraordinary story up to date.

And the timing is rather fitting: November 2026 marks ten years since Anna began pursuing a $22 million loan to fund her ambitious Anna Delvey Foundation.

Listening back, Mark was struck again by Anna’s apparent loneliness and by the sympathy he felt for this strangely compelling anti-hero. And Anna certainly hasn’t disappeared since we last left her: there have been immigration battles, house arrest, an electronic ankle monitor turned fashion accessory and even Dancing with the Stars.

Peter Moore’s passion for reviving the glory days of cinema was one which he took very seriously. When he reopened cinemas that had been dark for years, the story seemed almost wholesome in its narrative; an eccentric old movie enthusiast standing against the march of the out-of-town multiplex.
If you knew Peter Moore only through his businesses, there was little reason to imagine that the private world behind that public image was radically different from the one he showed customers, neighbours, and fellow movie lovers.
However, across the same part of North Wales, other men had encountered a far darker version of Peter Moore.

A series of apparently unconnected events would eventually draw police attention across Anglesey, Denbighshire, and the northern Welsh coast, and force investigators to look far more closely at the man whose name had become familiar throughout the region.
What they discovered would transform an eccentric businessman into one of the most notorious criminals in modern Welsh history, and expose a pattern of predatory behaviour that had been developing for years before anybody fully understood its true scale.

This week, we're looking at the life and crimes of Peter Moore, the man the media would later call the 'Man in Black'.

On 12 August 1966, three Metropolitan Police officers were carrying out their duties on a quiet street near Wormwood Scrubs prison in west London.

Within minutes, all three would be dead.

The cold-blooded killings of Detective Sergeant Christopher Head, Detective Constable David Wombwell and Police Constable Geoffrey Fox sent shockwaves across Britain, sparking one of the largest manhunts in the history of British policing.

But what could have driven someone to murder three police officers in broad daylight? Who was responsible? And how would the events of that summer's afternoon leave a legacy that would endure for decades?

Daniel Jones was sentenced to 20 years in prison in November 2017 for starting a deadly house fire in Stanley, Wakefield, that killed 42 year old father of 2 Andrew Broadhead, and his eight-year-old daughter, Kiera. Jones was found guilty of two counts of manslaughter and one count of burglary, and received a 20-year prison sentence.

Bethan has not been able to shake this case, it is one she still thinks of whenever she researches an episode with a fire.

In the summer of 1984, seventeen-year-old Melanie Road had almost everything ahead of her.

Bright, popular and ambitious, she was approaching the end of her A-levels and looking forward to university and the freedom of adult life.

But in the early hours of 9 June, after spending the night out with friends in Bath, Melanie began the short walk home.

She never made it.
