310 | The Shop Your Closet Challenge Starts Tomorrow! Here's What to Expect (and How to Make the Most of It)

    26/01/2026 | 19 mins.
Welcome back, friend! We've been covering some pretty big topics on the show this month and if you've been listening and thinking, "Okay… yes. This makes so much sense. I see why buying more pieces isn't the answer and why copying outfits doesn't always translate when I look in the mirror. But what do I actually do with this now?"

Then this episode — and really, this ENTIRE WEEK! — is for you.

Because tomorrow, we start our free, 3-day Shop Your Closet Challenge, and I want to walk you through exactly what it is, what we're going to be doing together, and why this experience is going to feel so different from anything you've tried before.

We're about to solve a very specific problem that I see over and over again with women who already have great taste, full closets, and continue to struggle over what to wear. You're just missing a repeatable way to make better decisions when you get dressed. And we're going to fix that this week together (for good). So stick around, settle in, and let me break down exactly what's waiting for you inside the Shop Your Closet Challenge this week.

309 | How Style Clarity Transformed Debbi's Closet (Without Overhauling Her Wardrobe)

    22/01/2026 | 23 mins.
Hey friend! I have such a treat for you today. Her Style Collective member, Debbi, is joining us to share her story about how developing a new level of style clarity completely transformed her closet — without overhauling her wardrobe.

In this episode, we're talking about how she honed in on her signature style, was able to create a whole season's worth of outfits from what she already owns, how she filled in a couple of very small gaps with greater intention than ever, and why having the right system has made getting dressed feel easy and exciting for her again.

If you're struggling with outfit overwhelm or constantly shopping and still feeling unsatisfied, this conversation will show you what's possible when you know how to make what you already own work together on purpose. This is exactly what I'm going to teach you inside next week's free Shop Your Closet Challenge. Go grab all the details and save your spot now at herstylellc.com/challenge and then come right back and enjoy this conversation with our sweet friend and Her Style Collective member, Debbi.

308 | The Most Overlooked Skill in Style? Knowing How to Use What You Already Own

    19/01/2026 | 11 mins.
I want to talk about something that sneaks up on a lot of us. It's when you're shopping — or scrolling — and you catch yourself thinking, "I don't know why, but I keep buying the same kinds of things… and it never actually fixes the problem."

You're not shopping wildly or buying random stuff. You're choosing pieces that make sense. Things you genuinely like. And yet, your closet still feels incomplete.

In this episode, I want to unpack why shopping becomes the go-to solution even when you're trying to be intentional, why so many "wardrobe gaps" aren't actually real, and what changes when you stop trying to fix your style with more pieces — and learn how to use what you already own instead.

This isn't about willpower. And it's not about needing better clothes. It's about a styling skill most of us were never taught. And once you understand it, everything starts to feel calmer, clearer, and way less emotional. So let's get into it, friend.

307 | The 'Almost Right' Outfit Problem: When Every Look You Try Feels 80% There

    15/01/2026 | 13 mins.
Have you ever envisioned an outfit in your head that made you feel so excited to get dressed? Maybe you're inspired by an influencer or you thought of a new combination for your pieces. You know the vibe you're going for, how you're going to accessorize, and you put everything on thinking, "Yes. This is going to look amazing."

And then you look in the mirror… And somehow, it does NOT look right. It might not be the worst outfit you've ever worn or even bad, but it's just not what you imagined — and you can't quite put your finger on why.

So you start adjusting, right? You change your shoes, add a layer, take the layer off, try switching your handbag, maybe throw on a different pant, and then put the original shoes back on again.

And at some point you just stand there thinking, "Okay, why can't I bring this together? This was supposed to be easy!"

That's what we call the "almost right" outfit problem.

If you've ever felt stuck there — if you've been eager to wear something, put in effort to look your best, and still walked out the door feeling like something was missing — this episode is for you. We're going to break down why getting dressed often feels harder than it should, why copying other people's outfits doesn't work 99% of the time, and the surprising reason why the "almost right" outfit problem is actually really good news.

I can't wait to unpack all of this with you today. Let's dive in.

306 | Why Your Closet Feels Random (Even If You Love Everything In It)

    12/01/2026 | 14 mins.
If someone took every single piece of clothing you own and laid it all out in front of you, could you explain how it's supposed to work together? Not where you bought it or why you loved it in the moment — but how those pieces actually connect. How they build outfits. How they support your real life: workdays, weekends, errands, dinners, all of it. Because this is where so many women get stuck — not because they have bad clothes, not because they shop too much, and definitely not because they don't "have style," but because there's no system holding their wardrobe together.

Most women I work with have truly great taste. They know what they like or at least, it doesn't take us too much effort to figure that out. They can spot a beautiful piece from a mile away. And yet, getting dressed still feels frustrating, time-consuming, or oddly disappointing.

Not because the clothes are wrong — but because they were never taught how to make their wardrobe work as a whole.

So if you've ever looked at your closet and thought, "Why does this feel harder than it should?" This episode is going to help things finally click into place. Because today we're talking about why your closet can feel random — even when you love what's in it — and how a little clarity completely changes how it all comes together.

The Go-To Podcast for Ambitious Women Who Want to Build Their Dream Wardrobe and Show Up with Confidence! **TOP 10 FASHION & BEAUTY PODCAST** Are you sick of having a closet full of clothes and nothing to wear? Have you been wearing and buying the same things on autopilot? Do you struggle to put your pieces together? Do you wish you could get dressed quickly in the morning and feel good as you go about your day? I'm so glad you're here! This podcast will give you a clear cut system to elevate your style and put together a capsule wardrobe that feels right for you so you can show up and get dressed every day with confidence! Hey friend, I'm Heather Riggs, a wife, mom, and 17-year Certified Image Consultant and Color Specialist. After having my son in 2018, my whole life changed. My clothing didn't feel right for me anymore. I didn't have the time or energy to figure it out, so I tried a lot of the quick-fix mistakes you might be making. I copied what the other "cool mom" influencers were wearing on Instagram. I defaulted to preset outfits and cookie-cutter capsule wardrobes that were tailored for someone else and not for me. I ended up feeling even more frustrated and confused about what to wear. I realized that if I was going to feel confident and excited to get dressed again, I needed to buy less and shop smarter. So I sat down and mapped out the exact steps I'd taken with my most successful personal styling clients over the years and decided to get to work. Following this simple system, I built my dream wardrobe easily, efficiently, and inexpensively and now I want to help you do the same! In this podcast, I will teach you how to: - Figure out and elevate your personal style - Embrace and dress the body you have now so you can stop wasting money on clothes that don't look good on you - Add more color into your wardrobe with confidence - Get rid of things (without feeling guilty!) and organize your closet - Design a custom capsule wardrobe that reflects where you are in your life - Quit impulse shopping and chasing fashion trends and start finding exactly what you want and need to fill in the gaps - Make the best use of your pieces and style them in new and exciting ways You don't have to go out and buy an entire new wardrobe. You just need someone to show you the simple art and science of getting dressed! I'm here to provide you with the practical tools and customized support you need — all with a side order of humor and humility (because fashion isn't meant to be taken too seriously!). Get ready to binge hours of free style advice and enjoy getting dressed again!
