  • Ep. 180: Behind Enemy Lines
Zo, having served in the military, can empathize with people who become disaffected, unmotivated or uninspired with their chosen profession. Such people might have chosen to engage with their career path believing that they might accomplish great things only to be confronted with tedious and seemingly meaningless work. Like a certain Lt. Chris Burnett, a U.S. Naval aviator who has found himself running dull routine missions instead of punching Nazis in the face. Life comes at you fast and, in the case of Lt. Burnett, life is fast enough to shoot down his jet and leave him stranded Behind Enemy Lines. Now life is anything but routine. Episode Segments00:03:20 - Opening Credits for Behind Enemy Lines starring: Gene Hackman, Owen Wilson and Gabriel Macht00:11:50 - Favorite Parts of the 2001 film: Behind Enemy Lines00:49:50- Trivia from the Military Action Thriller Film Behind Enemy Lines00:56:31 - Critics' Thoughts on John Moore's Behind Enemy Lines  Please leave a comment, suggestion or question on our social media: Back Look Cinema: The Podcast Links:Website: www.backlookcinema.comEmail: [email protected]: https://www.youtube.com/@backlookcinemaTwitter: https://twitter.com/backlookcinemaFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/BackLookCinemaInstagram: https://instagram.com/backlookcinemaThreads: https://www.threads.net/@backlookcinemaTikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@backlookcinemaTwitch https://www.twitch.tv/backlookcinemaBlue Sky: https://bsky.app/profile/backlookcinema.bsky.socialMastodon: https://mstdn.party/@backlookcinemaBack Look Cinema Merch at Teespring.comBack Look Cinema Merch at Teepublic.com Again, thanks for listening.

  • Ep. 179: Strange Days
Zo is at the end of the twentieth century in Las Angeles as it promises to be the grandest place to celebrate the coming of the year 2000. It is a time to be careful as the people are on the edge of rioting and there is a constant police presence. Whole squads of police in riot gear and police helicopters are everywhere. Among all of this carefully controlled chaos is a guy that tried to sell Zo on the idea of using this high tech device to jack someone's real life memories straight into Zo's brain. The salesman, a man named Lenny, drives a hard sell, and his offer is tempting, but Zo is weary and the whole thing feels like a drug deal. Lenny moves on and Zo considers . . . Jacking someone's thoughts straight into his brain? These are Strange Days indeed. Episode Segments00:04:01 - Opening Credits for Strange Days Starring: Ralph Fiennes, Angela Bassett, and Juliette Lewis00:18:13 - Favorite Parts of the 1995 film: Strange Days00:56:13 - Trivia from the Sci-Fi Action Thriller Film Strange Days01:04:24 - Critics' Thoughts on Kathryn Bigelow's Strange Days This is a link that you may use to stream hard to find movies and TV shows. • Ep. 178: Ronin
Zo is on vacation in Paris, France and expected this visit to at least be peaceful, but he finds that he must duck and cover as though he was in his own neighborhood around the suburbs of DC as gunfire seemingly erupt out of nowhere and he has to dodge cars driving insanely on the narrow and claustrophobic streets of the metropolitan European city. What could be happening? This seems to be more than the run of the mill criminal activity. Could this be some spy stuff? Is spy stuff happening all around him?!? Zo just wanted to relax; he didn't want to be involved in a real life action thriller! Episode Segments00:06:20 - Opening Credits for Ronin Starring: Robert De Niro, Jean Reno and Natascha McElhorne00:20:08 - Favorite Parts of the 1998 film: Ronin01:06:14 - Trivia from the Action Thriller Film Ronin01:13:02 - Critics' Thoughts on John Frankenheimer's Ronin Please leave a comment, suggestion or question on our social media: Back Look Cinema: The Podcast Links:Website: www.backlookcinema.comEmail: [email protected]: https://www.youtube.com/@backlookcinemaTwitter: https://twitter.com/backlookcinemaFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/BackLookCinemaInstagram: https://instagram.com/backlookcinemaThreads: https://www.threads.net/@backlookcinemaTikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@backlookcinemaTwitch https://www.twitch.tv/backlookcinemaBlue Sky: https://bsky.app/profile/backlookcinema.bsky.socialMastodon: https://mstdn.party/@backlookcinemaBack Look Cinema Merch at Teespring.comBack Look Cinema Merch at Teepublic.com Again, thanks for listening.

  • Ep. 177: Highlander
Zo is enjoying a day in New York City, but there's an unsettling crime wave going on. It seems that there are police reports of decapitated bodies seemingly showing up in various places in New York and New Jersey. The bodies are often found with their heads nearby and, even more curious, a sword is often found with the body. Who's doing this? Is it a team of criminals or a serial killer? At this time it seems that it's best to avoid anyone in the area carrying a sword. You don't want to loose your head after all. Episode Segments00:03:21 - Opening Credits for Highlander starring Christopher Lambert, Sean Connery and Clancy Brown00:19:15 - Favorite Parts of the 1986 film: Highlander00:57:44 - Trivia from the movie Highlander01:07:29 - Critics' Thoughts on Russell Mulcahy's Highlander Please leave a comment, suggestion or question on our social media: Back Look Cinema: The Podcast Links:Website: www.backlookcinema.comEmail: [email protected]: https://www.youtube.com/@backlookcinemaTwitter: https://twitter.com/backlookcinemaFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/BackLookCinemaInstagram: https://instagram.com/backlookcinemaThreads: https://www.threads.net/@backlookcinemaTikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@backlookcinemaTwitch https://www.twitch.tv/backlookcinemaBlue Sky: https://bsky.app/profile/backlookcinema.bsky.socialMastodon: https://mstdn.party/@backlookcinemaBack Look Cinema Merch at Teespring.comBack Look Cinema Merch at Teepublic.com Again, thanks for listening.

  • Ep. 176: The Dark Crystal
Zo enters a world of magic, rot and decay. This world shouldn't be this way as this magical place was once green and briming with life. In time Zo finds out that a prophecy must be fulfilled in order for this world to be restored to its former glory. A rare being, a Gelfling who is guided by creatures known as the Mystics, is said to be the one to find the Crystal Shard that can be used to heal the world. On his way this Gelfling may find allies, but there are also numerous adversaries in the wilds. The wicked rulers of this world, known as the Skeksis, will stop at nothing to prevent the prophesy from coming to pass. They would do anything to prevent any surviving Gelfling from using the Crystal Shard to restore The Dark Crystal. Episode Segments00:04:08 - Opening Credits for The Dark Crystal starring Jim Henson, Frank Oz, & Kathryn Mullen00:18:17- Favorite Parts of the 1982 film: The Dark Crystal00:56:09 - Trivia from the movie The Dark Crystal01:03:25 - Critics' Thoughts on Jim Henson and Frank Oz's The Dark Crystal Please leave a comment, suggestion or question on our social media: Back Look Cinema: The Podcast Links:Website: www.backlookcinema.comEmail: [email protected]: https://www.youtube.com/@backlookcinemaTwitter: https://twitter.com/backlookcinemaFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/BackLookCinemaInstagram: https://instagram.com/backlookcinemaThreads: https://www.threads.net/@backlookcinemaTikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@backlookcinemaTwitch https://www.twitch.tv/backlookcinemaBlue Sky: https://bsky.app/profile/backlookcinema.bsky.socialMastodon: https://mstdn.party/@backlookcinemaBack Look Cinema Merch at Teespring.comBack Look Cinema Merch at Teepublic.com Again, thanks for listening.
