Ariarne Titmus: Finding the pain cave and unlocking a champion
We watched with bated breath, as Ariane Titmus touched the wall ahead of Katie Ledecky - considered by some to be the greatest female swimmer of all time, but it was far from luck on the day that cemented Ariarne’s name in the history books. From early on in her life, Arnie had learnt the relationship between hard work and success, a value instilled by her parents that helped forge her path to becoming one of Australia's greatest swimmers. Paired with her coach, Dean Boxall, their unique relationship built on brutal honesty, shared standards, and unwavering trust, has been the ‘key’ in unlocking the fierce competitor. Beyond the glory is humility, a love for family, and a passion which extends past chasing the black line. Now on a hiatus from swimming, she shares what’s next for her, and if she will be repping the green and gold in LA in 2028.Keep up to date with Ariarne:Ariarne Titmus Instagram Ariarne’s 400m gold medal win at the Tokyo Olympics Find TWO AM I on social media here: TWO AM I YouTube TWO AM I Instagram TWO AM I Tik Tok TWO AM I LinkedIn TWO AM I LinktreeSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Des Flanagan: The gruelling, hardest, best, most privileged experience of my life
‘Generous, patient and tenacious’ are the three words Des Flanagan says sum him up and always have. Des is a boy from Beechworth in regional Victoria, who found himself performing in the Moulin Rouge kicking a leg, singing some of the greatest love songs ever written and having the time of his life. In his first lead role in a mainstage show, Des spent two years and 10 months playing the lead male protagonist Christian 657 times. His love for the stage began with little concerts with his siblings curated for their parents, until Des realised that family fun was to become his destiny. What followed was years of study at the prestigious Victorian College of the Arts, beginning his career in musical theatre. While Des has starred in Neighbours and a few short films, he’s definitely ruled IN doing some great Australian film work in the future. Peggy O’Neal: Breaking glass ceilings and being deliberate in striving for gender equality in leadership
When Peggy O’Neal AO emigrated from the United States to Australia in 1991, she had no idea she was about to fall in love with a community and a game that would shape her new life. Perhaps it was fate that she moved to Richmond in Melbourne’s east, donned the local team’s footy jumper, and learnt about footy tipping – all moments that would eventually lead her to become the first woman in AFL history to serve as a club president at the Richmond Tigers. Peggy, who is a superannuation and financial lawyer, broke that glass ceiling but admits there is much more to do and says being deliberate in striving for gender equality in leadership is always front of mind. While sport is one of her passions, education is another – values instilled in her by her parents when she was a child – and she now gives back as Chancellor of RMIT University, and you heard it here first, Peggy is writing a children’s book! If you had to grab two things from a burning building, what would you choose?
Co-hosted by Jack Riewoldt and Shane McCurry, TWO AM I is redefining modern leadership, one convo at a time. We invite extraordinary individuals to tell their story through two objects. Big or small, trinket or treasure. Two things that explain who they are, and what matters to them.
Think of us like a supermarket for knowledge: tune in, grab what you need, then apply it in your everyday life. From sports champs to journalists. Builders to coaches. CEOs to musos. These are the fresh takes on leadership that don’t usually make the headlines.
Listen Curiously.
