This week we dart back to 2011 for Dan Fogelman's romantic comedy: Crazy, Stupid, Love! And boy does this movie live up to its title because there are some BANANAS plot points we had completely forgotten existed! But regardless, this movie is a joy with its stacked cast including Steve Carell, Julianne Moore, Emma Stone, Ryan Gosling, Kevin Bacon and Marisa Tomei to name just a few. Chelsea and Elena dig into the multiple intersecting storylines and discuss whether Steve Carell is hotter than Kevin Bacon, Emma Stone's fear of the Dirty Dancing lift, Josh Groban's brilliant turn as Emma Stone's douchebag boyfriend, and our deep love for Steve Carell as a leading rom-com man. Along with some fun light discussion about venturing into our own mid life crises!

We discuss whether some critics were right to be upset by the misleading marketing for this movie and whether it makes light of sensitive topics or is a fresh approach to an American obsession. And of course we unpack the worst things that we have personally ever done and why teenage brains are just a bit deranged. Plus Alana Haim should get an Oscar for Best Acting of an Unlikable Character. It's a movie that will get your butthole clenched, make you gasp, and have you tittering with laughter... just please do not bring your baby to see it.

Continuing our collection of wedding rom-coms, Podstruck looks back this week at Four Weddings and a Funeral, the Hugh Grant breakout movie that turned him into a romantic comedy star. Mark Vigeant (Dropout, Edinburgh Fringe Fest) joins Chelsea and Elena to debate whether Andie MacDowell brings the heat or is a beautiful ice sculpture, why Cameron Crowe should envy Mike Newell's vignettes, the warm worlds that Richard Curtis writes even if they also have some sexism, what beer douchebags drink in the U.K., the incredible slate of side characters including Rowan Atkinson, how learning sign language can get you laid, and the most heartbreaking part of a truly sob-worthy funeral. It's a classic that absolutely deserves a rewatch.

So join us as Chelsea questions Richard Gere’s status as a leading man, Elena has the revelation that Rita Wilson is still alive, and Chelsea gets worked up over a shoulder bite reference that never pays off.
