Ep 71 – Emerging From Darkness to Light with the Tarot

    27/02/2026 | 58 mins.
In this episode, Peter and Bonnie talk about the journey through the darker, more difficult terrain of the Major Arcana—and what it can look like to move through those initiatory moments toward something brighter on the other side.
We explore the arc and energy of Death, The Devil, and The Tower—not as “bad” cards, but as powerful markers of transformation. From there, we shift into the emerging light of The Star, The Moon, and The Sun—hope returning, the softness of moonlight, and clarity arriving in its own timing.
We also reflect on the emotional layers of the Five of Cups and Eight of Cups—grief, healing, perspective, and the reminder that moving forward isn’t always about escaping something difficult. Sometimes it’s about listening to the quiet pull toward something new and having the courage and strength to walk toward it.
Peter guides us through a three-card spread aligned with this theme, and we each share our own insights into what came through. This one goes deep.
There were a lot of profound insights and a-ha moments in this episode.  You don’t want to miss it.

Ep 70 – Reading Tarot: The Message vs The Meaning

    15/02/2026 | 55 mins.
In this episode, Peter and Bonnie talk about something that can make tarot feel much more accessible: the difference between the message of a card and the meaning we assign to it.

We share how easy it is to go straight into “figuring it out” when we pull a card—searching for the correct interpretation, leaning on keywords, or overthinking what the card is supposed to mean. We also talk about another approach: noticing what stands out first, what the imagery brings up, and what the card might be pointing to in your life right now.

We also discuss how different decks can change the message you receive from the same card. The artwork, symbols, and mood of the image matter—and they can shift what you notice and how you interpret the card.
Throughout the episode, we pull a few cards as examples and talk through them together. Bonnie also shares a personal example of a card she pulled for herself and how it completely resonated with where she’s at right now.

Ep 69 – Aquarius Season and Rest and Receiving with the Tarot

    26/01/2026 | 43 mins.
In this episode, Peter starts us off with a few reflections on Aquarius season and its connection primarily to The Star—a card that speaks to healing, hope, and vulnerability. That naturally led us into a conversation about the season we’re actually in right now (at least here in the Northern Hemisphere) - the middle of winter.
If you’re feeling tired—still in hibernation mode—that’s completely normal.
We talked about the resistance that often shows up around rest. The guilt. The fear of not “doing.” The belief that if we’re not producing or striving, we’re somehow falling behind.
But what if none of that is true? What if rest isn’t a break from your life—but part of how you actually live it?
We pulled cards for a live 3-card spread to help you explore your relationship with rest—and reconnect with what you truly need right now. And as always, we shared our personal reflections on the cards that came up for us.
Because sometimes, rest is the work.

Ep 68 – Stepping into 2026 with the Tarot

    11/01/2026 | 59 mins.
After a bit of a break in December, Bonnie and Peter are back to ring in the new year with a brand new episode of Tarot with Bonnie and Peter. In this episode, we explore the energetic themes of 2026 through the lens of tarot. As we step into a Wheel of Fortune year (10)—which also reduces to The Magician (1)—we reflect on how to navigate the new year with intention, and clarity.

We discuss what it means to align with the momentum of the Wheel (rather than fight it), and how to harness the inner resources that the Magician reminds us we already have. We also share some of our personal new year rituals and how we each work with tarot to gain insight and direction during this seasonal transition.

Together, we pull cards for a 3-card spread designed to help you shift from creating intentions that may be based in fear to intentions that feel more empowering:
Card 1: What am I feeling pressure to fix or change?
Card 2: What is actually asking to emerge in me right now?
Card 3: What would an aligned intention look like?

Whether you’re stepping into this year with uncertainty, excitement, or a bit of both, this episode is here to remind you: you don’t need to overhaul yourself to move forward.

Ep 67 – Tarot Cards, Community & Connection with Marilyn Shannon

    29/11/2025 | 59 mins.
In this week’s episode, we had the pleasure of sitting down with Marilyn Shannon—longtime tarot and Lenormand reader and the founder of the Kingston Tarot & Lenormand Conference in Kingston, Ontario.
Marilyn shared how tarot first called to her at the age of 12, and how it’s been a guiding thread ever since. We talked about how her personal practice has evolved over the years and what it means to follow your intuitive nudges—especially when they lead you toward building something bigger than yourself.
What began as a wish to bring a favourite speaker to her hometown turned into a full-fledged, heart-centered gathering of intuitive readers. Marilyn spoke about the importance of creating space for support rather than competition, and how a shared love of the cards can foster belonging, recognition, and mentorship. Her conferences are not just events—they’re communities rooted in connection, mutual growth, and the magic that happens when readers gather together.
We ended the episode by each pulling a card and shared our personal insights and reflections.
If you’re curious about how tarot can be less about “me” and more about “we”—less isolation, more community—this episode will give you real stories, honest reflections and a reminder that belonging changes everything.
