Maddie Wait’s Fastest Known Time on Te Araroa - 3,000km across New Zealand

Maddie is an avid thru-hiker, having walked iconic trails such as the Pacific Crest, Bibbulmun Track, and Greater Patagonia Trail. During summer 2024, Maddie, alongside her partner Tom, attempted the Fastest Known Time of New Zealand’s Te Araroa - a 3,000km long trail traversing the entire length of the country. They completed the trail in 54 days, 14 hours, with Maddie claiming the overall women’s record.
