- Frida Redknapp grew up in a small town in Sweden and left at fifteen to model in Paris. Since then she has built a very different kind of life — mother of five, former model and now founder of food brand Frood, which launched last month.
In this episode Gabby talks to Frida about what the modelling world was really like, how her relationship with food and her body has changed over the years, and what eventually led her to start her own business. Frood came out of a late night idea and a conversation at a school gate, and is designed to make genuinely healthy eating quicker and easier for busy families - something most of us would welcome!

Sophie is one of Britain's most recognisable faces on the BBC news for over thirty years, and someone who has covered some of the most significant moments in modern history and interviewed some of the most important figures of our time.
But this conversation tis around a different subject. Away from the newsroom, Sophie has built another passion entirely. At 40, having done almost no exercise for decades, she decided to run the London Marathon. She collapsed two miles from the finish. She got up and did it again. She has now completed all seven World Marathon Majors, more than twenty marathons and ten ultra-marathons, including the 150-mile Marathon des Sables across the Sahara. Her first book, Running on Air, published by Bloomsbury, tells the story of how running changed her — not just physically but in the ways that actually matter. This is a conversation about resilience, getting things wrong and what it takes to keep going and how MidPoint is often, the perfect time to try something new.

But it's what she has done since leaving the security of that long-running role that makes her such a good MidPoint guest.
Sunetra talks openly about hitting the MidPoint as a real turning point — the moment she stopped playing it safe and started taking more risks. She also talks honestly about the menopause, and how it was actually being on Loose Women and hearing her fellow panellists talk so openly about their own experiences that made her realise what she was going through herself.
Becoming more comfortable in her own identity as a British Asian woman who grew up in Liverpool, whose parents were suspicious of her professional path, exploring new projects and how she’s tried new things are themes of this conversation. This episode reminds us again of why being in the MidPoint is actually alright and brings its own benefits.

Whether its a fad diet, a new theory or an alternative approach, it's something we have been discussing and often misunderstanding, for many years.
With the introduction of GLP1s, this has only increased.
GLP-1 medications have changed the conversation around weight, appetite and health in a way few of us could have predicted. But what happens before you start, while you're on them, and after?
Dr Fede Amati, who has joined us on The Midpoint before, is a Medical Scientist and Registered Public Health Nutritionist who has been at the forefront of the research into how food and our bodies interact — and her brilliant new book tackles one of the most talked about topics in health right now.
In this episode of Midpoint, Gabby sits down with Dr Amati for a conversation about what these medications actually do, why what you eat alongside them matters more than you might think, and how to build a relationship with food that serves you at every stage of life. No judgement, no fads — just really good science explained clearly.
Dr Fede Amati's new book, The Appetite Reset: How to Eat, Drink and Thrive Before, During and After GLP-1s, is published by Penguin Michael Joseph and is out now, priced £25.

Kenny's diagnosis changed a lot of things with regards to our awareness of health and proved that we should always get ahead of what can go wrong or actually look for the signs before something really does become an issue.
Today's guest is someone who is at the absolute forefront of Men's Health in this country. Professor Vaibhav Modgil is a Consultant Urological Surgeon at Manchester Royal Infirmary and one of the UK's leading experts in andrology — which is essentially the study of male health and the male reproductive system. He has just won one of the most prestigious awards in British urology and his whole career has been built around not just treating men, but understanding them.
He has introduced pioneering microsurgical techniques to the North West, and his specialist practice covers everything from erectile dysfunction and testosterone deficiency to complex reconstruction. He founded the Manchester Andrology Research Collaborative, has published over sixty academic papers, and has contributed to international guidelines on men's health across Europe and America. He is also Editor-in-Chief of Trends in Urology and Men's Health.
Whether this is relevant to you, or someone you care about, hopefully you will find something useful to take away.
