  • Ep 289: [INTERVIEW] The Power of Self-Love - Reinventing Your Life
Have you ever felt the sting of relationships unraveling? I know that pain is all too familiar for so many. My heartfelt talk with a former student gets real about overcoming struggles in marriage and life. With support from people who understand, you can transform and write a new story, as she did. Her experience emphasizes the power of self-love and surrendering control illusions.    In this powerful and revealing conversation, I speak with former student Felicia Fishback about overcoming major struggles in her relationships, and marriage, as well as finding her true self and purpose. She shares vulnerably about the bombshell moment when her husband said he was no longer attracted to her, the abandonment wounds from her childhood, and her journey to rebuild her confidence and self-love.   Felicia was introduced to Jim's podcast by fellow student Justina, who said it would be transformational. She had no money at the time, but saw the immense value and joined the 12-pay program. She knew it would change her financial situation.   She had tried many personal development methods before, but they never changed her underlying context - her unconscious core identity.   After 4 years of marriage, Felicia's husband suddenly said he was no longer attracted to her. This crushed her self-esteem. Abandonment wounds from childhood were triggered. She tried to salvage the marriage but it was over.   The experience forced her to truly surrender control and work through deep pain.   Leaning on her TCP community, Felicia worked on rebuilding her self-love and confidence. She discovered a new enjoyment of alone time and her independence; becoming a hypnotherapist and coach aligned her with her purpose of guiding others through transformation. She credits the TCP work for saving her life and changing her family.   Transformational Takeaway:   Though life may knock us down, we each hold the power to rise up, learn, and grow. With self-love as our foundation and community as our strength, we can turn hardship into wisdom and write new chapters filled with confidence and purpose. The darkness of betrayal cannot overcome the light within us all.   VISIT THE SHOW NOTES HERE FOR MORE: https://www.jimfortin.com/289   LIKED THE EPISODE? • Ep 288: [INTERVIEW] Transforming Your Identity To Create The Life That You Desire.
Feeling weighed down by expectations and identities that don't fit? If so, listen closely because this is the podcast for you! Even if you don’t know where to start, this episode should get you going on the right track.   In this podcast (EP288), I interview a former TCP (Transformational Coaching Program) student, Jason, about the evolution of self and finding peace by letting go of limiting identities. He shares his personal journey of transformation, including moving from LA to Sedona and going through two divorces. Along the way, he learned to separate his sense of self from his roles and circumstantial outcomes.    He reveals that though his work provided well financially, he felt a lot of pressure and stress due to having his identity tied to being a good provider. He stayed in an unfulfilling marriage longer than he wanted because he feared the financial loss of divorce. Can you relate to feeling trapped by the identities and expectations imposed on you? Unfortunately, a lot of us do. So, what did Jason decide to change?   A pivotal change happened for Jason when he began focusing on “ways of being” rather than chasing circumstantial outcomes. He describes the transformative power of living from a place of inner peace, love, and gratitude rather than seeking validation through money, relationships and possessions. He emphasizes being in the present moment rather than needing a particular future.   True spirituality cultivates a sense of connection to all, Jason shares. He gives examples like feeling gratitude washing dishes or seeing mosquitoes as bringing medicine rather than annoyance. By honoring all of life rather than just your own desires, you experience the abundance of needing nothing.    Transformational Takeaway:   Real transformation comes from shifting your inner identity and way of being rather than chasing circumstantial changes. When you live with authentic connection, you discover that needing nothing is having everything.    VISIT THE SHOW NOTES HERE FOR MORE: https://www.jimfortin.com/288   LIKED THE EPISODE? • Ep 287: [INTERVIEW] Going from a Fragmented and Wounded Self to Being Whole & Happy
Are you one of those people who has created a lot of success and abundance but you're still unhappy despite having a great life? If so, you are going to love this episode. Even if you are still trying to create everything you want and desire in life, you'll find great inspiration in this week's podcast.   In this episode, I speak with an amazing former TCP (Transformational Coaching Program) student, Dr. Alex, about her journey of personal transformation. We discuss Alex's challenges in medical school and her career and how she overcame them to find her true purpose.    Alex shares about her training as an anesthesiologist and pain management specialist. Along the way, she expands on branching into functional and integrative medicine. As I stated in the episode, she has an impressive educational background:   Trained anesthesiologist specializing in interventional pain management  Works in functional and integrative medicine Attended prestigious institutions like the University of Chicago Medical School   And, despite her outward success, Alex felt unfulfilled and miserable. She discusses creating a "checklist quicksand" and facades to please others. This led to feeling inauthentic and a painful existential crisis:   Outwardly successful but inwardly unhappy Tried to construct the perfect life by society's standards Resulted in painful fragmentation You found success but not happiness? and existential crisis   Ever felt like you're living your life trying to please others at the expense of yourself? Alex was that way also and she describes the anguish she felt when her facade collapsed and her suppressed self emerged. This catalyzed her transformation as she committed to living authentically, guided by her heart and purposes.    Alex expressed that her experience working with me in TCP significantly aided her personal growth and transformation. She initially sought coaching to enhance her business, but in the process, she underwent a personal transformation. Through coaching, she found a nurturing environment that allowed her to explore her true self authentically. Alex firmly believes in the importance of investing in coaching for genuine transformation.    Dr. Alex's experience illustrates how even outward success can ring hollow without inner purpose and wholeness. Her story offers hope that it's never too late to shed limiting beliefs and live authentically. The key is being willing to courageously face oneself and commit to inner transformation.   Transformational Takeaway:   We chase external success thinking it will make us happy, only to end up spiritually bankrupt. Like Dr. Alex, we can awaken to our wholeness by shedding expectations and reconnecting with our authentic selves. Will you take the courageous journey within to live your truth, with purpose and freedom?   VISIT THE SHOW NOTES HERE FOR MORE: https://www.jimfortin.com/287   LIKED THE EPISODE? • Ep 286: [INTERVIEW] From A Life Upside Down - To A Life Transformation Right Side Up
Ever feel like life throws you a curveball that completely knocks you off your feet? You're trucking along just fine when - bam! - everything falls apart. It's devastating like your life is unraveling at the seams. We've all been there, right?   So what do you do when faced with total upheaval? Do you cling to the past? Or find the courage to step into the unknown future unfolding before you? (HINT: If you cling to your past, nothing changes for you.)   I recently spoke with Eric Gewiss, who chose the bold path of reinvention when life turned upside down. His story of growth through adversity shows we all have the power to recreate ourselves anew - again and again.   But it takes guts...are you willing to let go and trust in your own power?   Trauma and Loss:   Over just 18 months, Eric faced overwhelming loss - a divorce after nearly 20 years of marriage, getting fired, selling his home, and giving away nearly all his possessions. And then, open heart surgery out of the blue. Talk about a lot, right? Wow!    Everything familiar collapsed. Eric felt "lost" and like a "victim" to his circumstances. He tried clinging to the past but found only more suffering. Ever been there?    How often have you found yourself in that boat, you know, holding on when it's time to let go?   Rediscovering Authentic Self:   Eric realized he had to take back his power. He tapped into tools like meditation and journaling to rewrite his old stories and habits.   As he puts it: "I take full responsibility for my thoughts and actions that no longer serve me...I release them."   By surrendering his attachment to the past self, Eric discovered freedom in the present. He moved from victimhood to the empowered creator of his new life.   How could you benefit from letting go of old stories holding you back?    The Courage to Grow:   Eric's journey of reinvention continues, but he now feels guided by purpose, not pain. He inspires us to release assumptions of who we are and to courageously grow into our best selves.   As Eric says, "The only way out is through." Even when your path ahead is unclear, you must trust the unfolding.    Eric's story proves, again and again, that we can choose to let go and move forward. Are you ready to boldly walk your own path? If so, it's time to let go of what has been holding you back, especially your fears. Listen to this week's episode and let Eric's story inspire you.    Transformational Takeaway:   Letting go takes courage, but it allows your highest self to lead the way so you can create the life of your dreams.  VISIT THE SHOW NOTES HERE FOR MORE: https://www.jimfortin.com/286   LIKED THE EPISODE? • Ep 285: INTERVIEW: Overcoming Adversity And Living An Authentic Life
In this eye-opening episode, I sit down with Amy Schutte, a marketing and messaging coach for entrepreneurs, about her transformational experience in Jim’s coaching program. In 2020, as the pandemic hit, she was seeking personal growth and tools to manage the chaos when she found Jim’s program. Though Amy considered herself a responsible person in the past, the program taught her an expanded meaning of responsibility - taking responsibility for her thoughts, stories, interpretations, and her role in co-creating her reality. This shift in mentality was fundamental and empowering.   Internally, she learned to release ego, fear, and self-limitations. First, as she evolved internally, the external changes in her business, money, and relationships began to gain traction and stability. Her business grew tenfold as her identity leveled up to match her desired outcomes. She became a peaceful, loving parent, seeing her young kids as souls on their own journey rather than trying to control them. She also transformed a difficult relationship with her father by setting healthy boundaries, releasing guilt, and choosing to “let people go lovingly.”   Amy emphasizes that investing in a supportive community and expert guidance, rather than just free content, is what enabled her accelerated transformation. The program’s combination of practical tools, subconscious reprogramming, and “ancient wisdom” creates powerful shifts at a core; identity level. This then radiates out; opening life up to new possibilities. For entrepreneurs especially; Amy highlights the need to grow yourself before you can grow your business. Personal evolution precedes external expansion.   Through her findings, Amy advises implementing the principle of reciprocity by openly giving value without expectation. This has brought her abundant opportunities and an expanded capacity for service. When you move from scarcity to genuinely giving and receiving, you increase your ability to love, create, and be of benefit to the world.   Transformational Takeaway: Identify your self-limitations, eliminate fear, and ego, and allow yourself to give value without expectation. What are you willing to let go of today? When will it be time to tell yourself that these limitations are what's holding you back from your wants?    VISIT THE SHOW NOTES HERE FOR MORE: https://www.jimfortin.com/285   LIKED THE EPISODE?
